"Choose a job you love
and you will never have to work a day in your life"
Chinese Proverb
Reflexology, Acupressure and
Medical Qi Gong together form a complete medical system that is
used to analyze, evaluate and treat disease, prevent illness and
improve well-being in a safe and time tested manner. It is effective
for physical, psychological and emotional problems. The roots
originate in Egypt, China and Japan with a history of more than
3000 years. The systems have been so safe and effective that they
have been embraced throughout the world.
This course integrates these systems in an innovative way that
allows also for the beginner as well as the seasoned aficionado
of bodywork to reach an advanced level of understanding and
application not taught in Traditional Chinese Medicine Schools
Within the ear, hand and foot there exist rich nerve innervations
and multiple connections with the central nervous system.
Every tissue, organ and part of the body corresponds to an
auricular point and acupressure point on the hands and feet.
Furthermore, all the tissues, organs, glands and diverse body
parts are interlinked by a web of energy pathways ( meridians,
channels and zones) that reflect the health or disease state
of each organ system and body as a whole. If the organ system
or part of the body is diseased, the energy circulation along
the meridians and in the zones are disrupted and the relevant
acupressure points and zones become painful or very sensitive.
Through a combination of acupressure point therapy and hand
and foot reflexology, you can tap into a powerful healing
system of energy pathways and zones bringing the body back
into a state of homeostasis. Unlike conventional medicine
which focuses mainly on the signs and symptoms of a diseased
organ, you can treat the whole person in mind, body and spirit
and therefore go to the cause of the disease. Chinese Healing
Arts considers symptoms as an expression of the condition
of the whole person. When you gently stimulate a system of
corresponding acupressure points and zones you focus beyond
pain and discomfort by responding to the overall effects of
stresses and toxins, before a full-blown disease develops.
Preventive health care and not just "quick-fix " solutions
has been a key aspect of the attraction of Chinese Health
Care.
Ear, Hand and foot Reflexology is also a great natural adjunctive
therapy working in tandem with Massage Therapy, Neuromuscular
Therapy, Reiki, Physical Therapy, Nutritional and Herbal Therapy.
When used prior to Massage therapy or any of the other modalities,
the treatments become easier, deeper and longer lasting.
For the Massage Therapist, and Body worker it is also less demanding
physically and is a natural progression to advanced Energy
medicine.
Reflexology and Acupressure is also preferred by people who
do not want the inconvenience of disrobing for a full body
massage but simply want to enjoy the pleasure of the effects
of reflexology and acupressure melting away the layers of
daily stresses.
Introducing reflexology into your salon when you are involved
in skin aesthetics enhances the beauty of your client because
of the improved circulation to the largest organ of the body:
the skin.
